Vegetable garden
A garden for vegetables and local herbs, tended together by the people who live here.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico
Moyocoyani is a small community of sustainable cabins and lots in Puerto Vallarta — a place to live quietly among the trees, with views of the bay.
The covered vegetable garden, so the kitchen has fresh produce year-round, not just in season.
Local agave — the source of the tequila, raicilla and mezcal the project plans to distill on site.
Saunas and a temazcal, on the side of the hill that faces the forest.
The eco-pool returns its water to the land through wetlands.
The creek bank, with hammocks and a sunning area, is shared by everyone.
Farm & food
The project isn't just cabins. It includes a vegetable garden, a greenhouse and a farm, along with the crafts that come with them: preserving, cheesemaking, charcuterie, fermentation and distilling. None of it is built yet. What follows is the plan, and we'll share progress here as it takes shape.
The project's stated goal: food self-sufficiency for the community by 2030.
Vegetables for the community, grown outdoors and under cover, so the kitchen is stocked year-round, not just in season.
Hens and quail, for eggs and for the kitchen.
Pigs, cattle, goats and sheep, grazing on the hillside.
Shrimp and fish, raised with water from the property.
Cheese, kefir and butter, made with milk from the farm.
Cured meats, jams, preserves and essential oils, made from what the garden and farm produce.
The cultures behind our cheese, bread and drinks.
Tequila, raicilla, mezcal, rum, gin and whisky, from a small still on the property.
Classes in preserving and food processing, for residents who want to learn the craft.
A Mexican fusion restaurant, a small food-processing kitchen and a packing room.
Amenities
Life here is built around everyday things: growing food, staying active, walking and resting. More than half of the land is set aside for shared and green spaces. Beyond what's listed below, the plans include grilling areas with an outdoor oven, and an observatory. All of these are planned and will be added as construction moves forward.
A vegetable garden, a yoga studio and trails through the trees. The list will grow as the plans take shape.

An open, shaded space for yoga in the early morning or late afternoon.

Walking paths through the greenery, laid out to follow the natural contours of the hillside.

With wastewater and graywater treatment, and wetlands that return the water to the land. Planned, not yet built.

A temazcal designed for 25 people, saunas, and cold-plunge and hot tubs.

A private spot on the creek, with loungers and hammocks.

A court for padel or small-sided soccer, and a weight-training gym.

The vegetable garden grows into a greenhouse and a farm. What they'll produce has its own section above.

Location
The land is on a hillside in Puerto Vallarta, close to town and facing the bay.
